News of the week – Donald Trump listens to Deathcore

Further Seems Forever frontman Jon Bunch has passed away, he was 45.

Highlights

One of my favorite band, Candiria, is teasing some new music, and although it does not sound like the best part of their career (their first three albums), it does not sound bad at all.

A first song from The Body and Full of Hell‘s collaborative LP is streaming and it’s as ear destroying as what you might expect from a collaboration between the two bands. One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache will be released on 25th March via Neurot Recordings.

A new Deftones song is streaming and it sounds like the Deftones. Not bad, but not amazing at first listen. Gore will be out on 8th April.

Three new songs from Magrudergrind are streaming from II on 12th February.

Mariner is Cult of Luna fronted by Julie Christmas (Battle of Mice, Made Out of Babies, Spylacopa). The new band will release an album 8th April via Indie Recordings.

Black Cobra (Cavity) have a new song from Imperium simulacra scheduled for 26th via Season of Mist.

French parisian postcore band Mime released a new song.

Norwegian death metal Zhrine announces its first album, Unortheta, via Season of Mist. One to watch.

Manipulate are streaming a new song from their six song EP Becoming madness via Invisible Oranges. It’s pretty nice if you like punk metal like old Corrosion of Conformity.

Tombs (ex. Anodyne) are streaming a new song from their new EP, All empires fall, scheduled via Relapse Records on 1st April.

Now recording

Touche Amore are in the studio recording a new album. True Widow on the other side are done recording their new one. Limp Bizkit is finally in the studio for their new album, the much delayed Stampede of the disco elephant.

In other news

Melotov Records will release a four CD discography of Phobia including all albums and splits, on 4th March.

Collaboration

Mike Patton (Faith no More, Mr Bungle) and John Kaada have collaborated on a new album called Bacteria cult scheduled for 1st April via Ipecac Recordings.
kaddapatton

Merzbow and Boris are streaming two new songs from their collaborative LP scheduled for 18th March via Relapse Records.

Uxo (Unsane, Today is the Day) is streaming it’s debut album.

Signature

Down in It signs with Good Fight.

Full albums

Both Graf Orlock‘s and Ghostlimb‘s new albums are streaming via L.A. Weekly.

Max and Igor Cavalera will tour to perform Roots from Sepultura for it’s twentieth anniversary. When I think how tired Max sounded when he performed Roots bloody roots with Soulfly last year, this does not sound promising at all, even if I still cared about that album.

God’s Hate is streaming it’s new album.

Demon John, Spylacopa (Candiria)’s new album is streaming via Bandcamp.

Rotting Christ‘s new album is now streaming.

Hardcore super group, World Be Free (Terror, Gorilla Biscuits) are streaming their new album on Brooklyn Vegan.

Music videos

Today is the Day has premiered a new video in case you had forgotten that their latest album was bloody good.

John LamMcchia‘s side project, Spylacopa, has a new music video.

Paradise Lost is showing of miserable they are live in their new video.

Ken Mode has filmed a video for a new song soon to be released on a split with The Atlas Moth.

North have a new video.

Oh my god, why?!

Brian « Head » Welch (Korn, Love and Hate)’s new book will be called With My Eyes Wide Open: Miracles And Mistakes On My Way Back To Korn and is scheduled for 17th May.

Guy Kozowyk from The Red Chord can be seen here posing for pictures with Donald Trump. Not to worry though, the man has always seem to be far away from the ideas of Trump, as heard on any album he sang on.
