News of the week – All shall perish is feeling the Bern

Highlights

New screamo band Terrible Love (Funeral for a Friend, Goodtime Boys, Grappler, Bastions) have a first song streaming on DIYMag with an interview.

Yes, Megadeth still exist, and they have released a new song from their upcoming album, Dystopia. This time, Dave Mustaine has found some willing musicians in Chris Adler (Lamb of God) and Kiko Loureiro (Angra). I gave it a listen and I guess that if you like Angra and Megadeth you might enjoy this…

The Body and Full of Hell have collaborated on an album called One day you will ache like I ache scheduled for 25th March via Neurot Recording.

Nails have announced on Twitter that they have finished recording their new album with Kurt Ballou (Converge).

Archgoat has shared a split with Satanic Warmaster. The release is available via Hell’s headbanger since the end of last year.

The hardcore song of the week just might be God’s Hate new track from their upcoming album Mass murder scheduled via Closed Casket Activities on 5th February. The song is streaming via Lambgoat and you can pre-order the album over there.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed has a new song from their upcoming EP, Arc, scheduled for 22nd January.

Inverloch (ex. dISEMBOWELMENT) have a new online from Distance/Collapse coming via Relapse Records on the 4th March.

Seven Sisters of Sleep have released a new song taken from Ezekiel’s hags, scheduled for 5th February via Relapse Records.

The career of legendary metal hardcore band Merauder is coming to an end.

Bloodiest (Russian Circles, Yakuza, Correction House) have premiered a song via Cvlt nation. The self titled album will come out on 15th January via Relapse Records.

French sludge band Love Sex Machine have a new album titled Asexual anger scheduled for the end of February via Throatruiner.

Love-Sex-Machine-Asexual-Anger

If, like me, you missed that Autopsy put out a new album called Skull grinder, here is a new track… and if you didn’t, well you can still listen to some good old school death metal. Win / Win !

Classhole, a new punk/hardcore band featuring members of EyeHateGod and Hang Jaw, are streaming their debut album via Noisey. The album is available via Terror Cult/The Compound. I can’t say that I am impressed but if you really love EyeHateGod you might be into this.

Live shows

Sick of it All, Broken Teeth and Crowned Kings will tour Europe in March but no shows are scheduled in the UK.

Postcore birds Pelican will tour Europe during much of May with one stop already announced at the Desertfest in London in late April.

Stoner doomster in Saviours will be in Europe from the middle of February to the beginning of March to promote their latest album which I highly recommend. Most notably they will play at Our Black Heart in London on the 25th February.

Benighted have put out a video taken from their upcoming live DVD.

Music videos

One of the most awaited grindcore album of the year, Magrudergrind‘s II, has a new video.

The hardcore super group World Be Free (Terror, Gorilla Biscuits, Glassjaw) has released it’s first video.

The new Fuck the Facts video is full of cats.

If you want to listen to something that is neither metal or hardcore, the music of The Black Queen (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Telefon Tel Aviv, TV on the Radio) is surprisingly good.

Curiosity

Milk commercial with Lemmy

It seems like All Shall Perish are not too impressed by many candidates at the « upcoming » presidential election except for Bernie Sanders.

Oh my God, why?!

If you were a nu-metall fan in the early 2000’s, this picture will bring back memories. I particularly love the face of Brandon Boyd who is wondering what the hell he is doing here. Five years later, he will be proven right by having a successful career outside of nu-metal whereas most of the musicians around are still feeling the consequence of associating with one of the most hated genre in the history of music.

#FBF with some incredible people for Snot's Strait Up album!

Three singers later and only one huge hit, Drowning Pool is still a band and here is a new song.
