This week of show is not filled to the brim like two weeks ago. In fact, there is just one band that truly matters this week : Despise You. The power violence legends are back in Europe once again around the release of a new 7″ (the band has never released a full-length, just a compilation of split called West side horizon) and will provide audience with a healthy dose of blasting in a cheerful manner. Last time they played in Paris in La Miroiterie, a local squat, now sadly closed, a topless woman ended up being carried in a shopping cart during a song. How and why does not matter, but I expect the same kind of insanity this time around.
The gig in London will be on Monday at The Unicorn for free with Let it Die, The Atrocity Exhibit, Teef and Dreamsmasher. Let it Die will probably be back from their recording sessions, which means a new show, and you can always expect a tight performance from The Atrocity Exhibit if you like grindcore in the vein of Brutal Truth.
In Paris they gig will be on Tuesday with Ware Ware Wa Moshiwake Arimasen, Bazoofi and Sinnaciön and will cost you 6 Euros. Damn, I love London.
The good people in Paris will have the exclusive of a Every Time I Die show as a headliner with three metalcore bands as support. Sure, Stray from the Path are ok, but it’s all about the mix of metal, hardcore and stoner that ETID has been playing for more than a decade. With obvious nods to Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan, the band has still forged a unique style mixing chaos and rocking vocals to create cargos of excellent tunes.
Tickets are still available for 22 Euros
